Wildlife Photography - Tips? - namibia wildlife
I'm going to Namibia in the summer and look forward to all animals. He now has a digital SLR camera with a 55mm objective. Any suggestion of lenses and other accessories that you really need (amateur) animal photography?

Get a telephoto lens. I use the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM on my Canon Rebel XTi. If you are a tripod, where you (there will be a good idea anyway), get help with IS (Image Stabilizer), you shake the camera.
If they bring a tripod, make sure it is made of carbon fiber. Light, strong and beautiful. You never feel in Alluminum ... simply fall off! Gitzo and Manfrotto make the best tri-pod.
Good luck and have fun there! : O)
Get a consumption of 70-300mm zoom (or the model with the same focal length, but are expected to pay much more) from the camera manufacturer or a VR model, which is to maintain, their film camera. It's much harder to maintain a constant 300 mm in a 55mm, so you can take a stand, if possible. There are also put camera mounts, the car windows when you go on safari. Bon voyage!
A lens from Sigma or Tamron 70-300. I have the Tamron macro.
ND4 or ND8 filter for your lenses (eBay is the best choice)
UV, polarizing filters and lenses. A compressor to keep the sensor clean, etc., and a few pictures of the target. (All Ebay)
The additional memory cards. Try 7dayshop.com for them.
A good camera bag to keep equipment clean, etc.
Replacement batteries (battery) and a fast charger.
Have a great time .. :-))
I agree this site, that the teaching of all aspects of creativity. I especially use of photography and the basic classes of Photoshop, but with a certain type of nature photography including giraffes, cheetahs, rhinos, etc., in a nature reserve. http://training.xtrain.com/course/show/47-rick-sammon-digital-workflow-wildlife-nature-photography looks exactly like what you see, further, I hope. They also have free classes on everything under the sun.
Search the department to some of the biggest names in the photo use online stores like B & H http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ can always use good business to buy lenses, provided they comply with the high ratings. I want also to consider wise as ultra-wide 16mm, 18mm, etc. Make sure, lots of memory cards with you and maybe something else to store their images as a backup battery also added to the camera. It is the least expensive part of your travel and hate to delete the images in order to make room for others. The other thing is that you intend to use a monopod with a ball, because it is more appropriate, and "fast" a tripod. But they do not have a tripod, because it has its place, too.

Rick Sammon is a series of training videos and XTrainer conjunction with a class of animal and nature photography in the outdoors (in a private zoo, but you do not know unless you know the true location - it seems that Africa is in Texas !)

Long-activates the VR lenses and a tripod.
You have received a lot of patience and a good knowledge of wildlife will be useful. If you can know how people act or react, then it is best that you predict how to shoot in Paris. With a guide is also useful knowledge.
